Vindaloo
is extremely popular meat dish not only in Goa or India; infact, it is much
appreciated worldwide for its tender meat. Vindaloo comes from a Portuguese
term “Vinho e alho” which means garlic and wine. On festive occasions, pork or
lamb meat is marinated with garlic and wine. The dish is then prepared with
aromatic local spices like red chillies, Goan vinegar and fresh jiggery from
palm trees.
2. Shrimp Curry
It is a scrumptious seafood preparation again influenced by Portugal cuisine. The main ingredients of this dish include rice, coconut milk and chillies.
