We all know that having a filling breakfast in
the morning keeps a person energised throughout the day. It’s essential to have a hearty and filling
breakfast especially if you are enjoying a holiday. Doing so would allow you to
have ample amount of energy to enjoy the day. On the other hand if you prefer
to have a light meal in the morning, you can still find many healthy breakfast
options. These options would be rich in protein and taste delicious as well. So
you won’t
be able to resist them.
When it comes to Goan food then here is a list
of exotic items that you must try for your breakfast.
Omelettes: If you like omelettes, you should certainly
begin your day with the special Goan Omelette. It has a number of exotic spices
that would leave you craving for more. The quantity of oil used in creating
these omelettes is also quite good so even if you have a single omelette, your
stomach would not feel empty.
Alebele: Some people have a liking for pancakes but they
don’t try it in the mornings. If you are also one of
them then trying Alebele should be considered by you. It is a delicious pancake
filled with coconut and syrup. It has its unique flavor that is hard to
describe. But the taste of it is so unusual that you would easily fall into the
routine of eating it on a daily basis.
Tropical Fruit Salad:
If you are in the habit of eating fruits then do try the tropical fruit salad
of Goa. It’s usually steeped in coconut milk and home-made
set yoghurt. This makes it hard to resist and a healthy option too. You can
also choose the fruits you like and ask the cook to avoid putting in the fruits
you don’t like because in Goan, customer is really the
king.
Idli or Wada: Most people think
that idli or Wada are popular in South Indian states like Kerala. They are
completely wrong. You can find an idli or Wada stall at every nook and corner
of Goan. Just enjoy its rich taste with freshly cooked Smabhar and Nariyal
Chutney.
Dosa: When we speak of Idli, the next thing that
comes to mind is a dosa. If you are in Goa, trying on a masala dosa that’s
full of scrumptious spices and a bit “thikha”
is a perfect choice. The fillings of a masala dosa usually include
mashed potatoes and pieces of nuts.
